I’ve written a book called The Greatest Works of Art of All Time.  Just under 200 pages long, the book contains 331 works of art ranging from 38,000 BCE to the present. The list of works is derived from the art lists on Make Lists, Not War, in particular, Best Works of Art of All Time and the Best Contemporary Art. Each entry includes full color photographs of the artworks and an essay containing information about the artwork and the artist. The artworks are presented chronologically, beginning with prehistoric figurines and cave paintings and progressing through the centuries: Ancient Greek and Roman Art, Medieval and Renaissance Art, the Baroque, Neoclassicism, Realism, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, Modernism, Abstract Expressionism, Postmodernism, and more. Although the majority of the works were produced in Europe and America, the book also includes works from all over the world, including India, China, Japan, Africa, and South and Central America. Printed on high quality paper, the book is (in my not-so-humble opinion) a work of art itself.
